Eyeglasses can completely change the way you look depending on type of frame, lens shapes and colors. Choosing the right eyeglasses frame is most important and global thing. You can also choose your eyeglasses frame depending on the way you have your hair!
There are in the world four common types of eyeglasses frames.
First step that you should do is to choose one of it depending on your lifestyle. Choose it according to what you will use the glasses most for. For sports, choose flexible wire rims or for business needs, choose the classic eyeglasses frame.
- Classic plastic

- Metalic

- Half rimless

- Full rimless

The second step is to determine your face shape (oval, round or rectangular). Eyeglass shapes which are depends on eyeglasses frame are chosen to decrease or de-accentuate the roundness of a round face, the squareness of a rectangular face, or the length or shortness of a face. To do this we recommend rectangular glasses for round faced people (avoid round frames) and oval or round glasses for rectangular faced people (avoid rectangular frames). Long faces should avoid narrow glasses, short faces should avoid high glasses. Those with oval faces are not restricted.
Larry Leigh, founder of the Los Angeles-based Oliver Peoples eyewear line says:
“Ask around, just as you would for a dentist”
Leight also says that a frame should generally be no wider than your head, with the center of the lens slightly below eye level. He also notes that an experienced optician can help clients find frames that make, say, a long nose look shorter (try a low-set bridge) or a round face appear thinner (go for angular or square shapes).
Alain Mikli, owner of the Alain Mikli eyewear company, in Paris says:
“For a strong prescription, small frames keep light in and don’t detract from the work of the lenses”
Many people who wear eyeglasses frames will tell you they spend at times, hours on end looking for the perfect pair of eyeglasses. And why not? When you select just the right pair of eyeglasses, you can truly complement your best features, including your peepers. Buy the wrong pair of eyeglass frames however, and you may find yourself walking around miserably. So when it comes to buying your eyeglass frames, the moral of the story is you should take your time. Get to the eye doctor ahead of time and take some time to select the best frames. And by all means, take someone with you. You will find on more than one occasion you have a hard time deciding between various frames.
And don’t forget that the primary reason to wear eyeglasses is to improve our vision. Don’t sacrifice your eyesight to vanity, make sure that the spectacles do what they are supposed to – not just make you look good but enable you to see better.
