DAY of EYE SURGERY. This is how one patient describes an eye surgery for vision correction named LASIK.

9.30 This morning I’m stopping to use cosmetics and perfumery that is obligatory for LASIK surgery. Within two weeks I do not wear contact lenses because my eyes should become in normal state before eye surgery.

10.00 After a light breakfast I leave the house accompanied by the husband. During operation he will wait for me and then will bring me home.

11.00 Arrival in LASIK clinic

11.30-11.50 LASIK Surgery
I’m going in operational room and I laying down on a bed. The LASIK eye doctor opens my eyes and instills once again eye drops.

11.45 I feel short pressure, becomes dark, the eye is processed by a knife a microkeratoma. Then it becomes again light, I hear, how the laser processes my eye. I feel nothing.

11.50 Having finished work, the LASIK eye doctor asks me:

“Do you feel well?”
